Meetings:

The Farmers’ Club meets at 6 PM generally on the first Thursday of each month at the Plantation House except for January, July and August of each year. Members meetings usually include a brief business session, dinner, and occasionally an informational program.

 

Dinner Guidelines:

• The Farmers’ Club utilizes an email-based notification and reservation system for communicating with the Members about the upcoming dinner meeting. Each Member will receive an email approximately 2 weeks prior to the dinner. Since we have a limited seating capacity, you must confirm your reservations to attend the Members dinner meeting. Both the First Name and Last Name are MANDATORY fields. If you have not confirmed your reservations, you will not be admitted.

• If you do not receive the email, you can sign up for the current monthly dinner under Upcoming Events.

• If a cancellation is necessary, you should immediately notify the Dinner Committee Chairperson at dinners@hhpfarmers.com or click here

• No-shows may be charged a penalty of $5 per person for a fee-based dinner.

• For certain dinner meetings, where the main-course is provided by the Farmers’ Club, the Members may be charged a nominal fee, at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

• You must bring your place settings (plates, cutlery, glasses) and drinks for each person.

• Each Member is responsible for bringing his or her assigned dish (entree, salad or dessert). Each dish should serve 8 – 10 persons.

• After the dinner, all Members should assist in cleaning up the dining hall. 

 

Guests:

• Guests may be charged the appropriate amount if they are attending a fee-based dinner

• If the guest is attending a non-fee based dinner, the guest or their host will be required to bring an extra dish as assigned by the Dinner Committee.

• Hosts must accompany their guests to the dinner so that they will be recognized at the door.1
